Abu Dhabi National Hotels, Abu Dhabi’s leading hospitality group, signed an agreement with Accor’s upscale Sofitel brand to manage its first hotel project in Dubai.
HE Khalifa Nasser Bin Huwaileel Al Mansoori, chairman of ADNH said “The 450-room, beachfront hotel will be known as the Sofitel Jumeirah Hotel and Beach Resort, and will open in late 2007 within the prestigious Jumeirah Beach Residence project. We believe that the Sofitel brand is the ideal choice to manage ADNH’s first hotel venture in Dubai.”
Al Mansoori added “We look forward to seeing the Sofitel Jumeirah Hotel and Beach Resort take shape, and will continue to seek opportunities to complement our existing hospitality and leisure portfolio.”
The Sofitel Jumeirah Hotel and Beach Resort will offer guests well-appointed rooms and suites, all sea-facing, with direct access to a dedicated signature beach club and spa. A range of services suited to business travellers will also be available, including state-of-the-art conference and banqueting facilities plus a range of exciting restaurants and bars.
Jean-Luc Motot, chief executive officer, Accor Middle East and Africa said: “We are delighted to strengthen our existing relationship with Abu Dhabi National Hotels, and complete the agreement to operate the group’s new hotel under the Sofitel brand.”
Motot added: “This new project demonstrates the dynamic development of the Sofitel brand in the Middle East, and it is one of five new Sofitel hotel projects to be completed by 2008.”
