The Sheraton now has three hotels up and running in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, with the addition of two new properties in the last six months.
The two-year-old five-star Sheraton Al Harithyah came under the Starwood umbrella last November, while the Sheraton Karam opened in January this year. Both are in the west-central area of the city. Starwood already manages the 189-room Sheraton Medina in the city. "Our guest list will mainly comprise Moslems who come to Madinah to visit the Holy Mosque of the Prophet Mohammed," says Hassan El Shafey, area manager Sheraton Madinah.
