Le Meridien has announced its fifth hotel in Egypt and 22nd in the Middle East and West Asia region with the recent opening of Le Meridien Sharm El Sheikh, in South Sinai.
The 410-room resort property is located on the secluded White Knight beach on the Red Sea in the preserved area of Ras Mohamed National Park, with easy access to Mount Moses, St. Catherine's According to the hotel's General Manager, Rudolf Brogesius, "the resort's architecture and landscaping blends harmoniously with its natural environment". Most guestrooms face seawards, with a balcony or terrace view of nearby Tiran Island. All are equipped with individually controlled central air- conditioning, satellite television, pay movies, in-room safe, mini bar, hair dryer and IDD telephones. The cuisine is varied with eight restaurant and bars serving international, Italian, Egyptian and seafood specialities.
