THE home-away-from-home getaway Mafraq Hotel will embark on a renovation later this year, said hotel general manger Khaldoun Habach.

The hotel, which is the ideal escape from the two big cities in the UAE, will undergo Dh1.5 million worth of changes to its lobby area and to its 120 rooms besides embarking on a Dh5 million landscaping of the entire area around the hotel. “In addition to replacing all the soft furnishings, the rooms will be redecorated entirely with added amenities such as new TVs and safe deposit boxes,” said Habach.
The hotel has also just launched its summer packages, beginning Dh200 per night inclusive of breakfast, complimentary drink and free accommodation for children under 12, he added.
Now part of the rebranded Danat Hotels and Resorts, the hotel caters to both families and businessmen. “We are only 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi city and a little more than an hour from Dubai. That allows guests to feel like they are away from home without actually being too far away.”
