Coral International Hotels, Resorts & Spas is among the few hotel companies that is based in Dubai.

Created in September, 2003, the brand was officially launched on May 2, 2004, and is all set to have many new exciting properties in its portfolio. In the very first year it has got under its umbrella six properties: Coral Beach Resort, Sharjah, Coral Deira, Dubai, Coral Boutique Hotel Apartments, Coral Al Nahda Resort & Spa, (Al Barka, Oman), Coral Suites, Ajman and Coral Oriental, Dubai.
Talking about their plans for the future Michel PJ Noblet, managing director, Coral International Hotels, Resorts & Spas, informs: “We are close to finalising many other interesting and lucrative projects across the Middle East. Our vision is to develop world-class properties wherever we go. This means more opportunities, greater competition and increasing responsibility. We aim to reach 25 hotels over the next four years. This expansion will principally be generated by further management contracts in the UAE, Kuwait, KSA, Bahrain, Lebanon, Qatar and Oman. We also want to seek out new areas where we can continue to maintain a competitive edge.”
“Business has grown by 21 per cent compared to last year and witnessed a flow of new markets as far as we are concerned,” points out Fadi Mazkour, business development director, Coral International Hotels, Resorts & Spas and General Manager, Coral Deira, Dubai. “The occupancy in our properties have also been incredibly good so far. Coral Deira, Dubai, for instance, is expected to have 92 per cent occupancy all through 2005. The trends look very promising for other upcoming properties in Dubai as well.”
Adds Mazkour: “Continuous sales trips, attending road shows and travel fairs along with Department of Tourism and Commerce, Marketing in Dubai, advertising in select targeted media, recruiting professional team with multilingual ability and providing mouthwatering international cuisine with world-renowned Arabic hospitality have helped attract new customers and contributed to Coral’s success.”
Coral Oriental, Dubai, expected to open this month, will be located on Naif Road in Deira. Within walking distance of the city’s financial, cultural and shopping districts, it is a hotel par excellence and boasts 96 beautifully-appointed suites and guestrooms that offer total comfort and deluxe amenities.
On the other hand, Coral Boutique Hotel Apartments, which is
fast coming up in Al Barsha, the new commercial hub of Dubai with its own distinctive pulse. Billed as one of the city’s most luxurious 5-star boutique residences it is due to open in May this year.
The elegant six-storey building has 13 spacious, furnished deluxe apartments on every floor. Guests have a choice between studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Each is well-equipped to meet the exacting criteria of today’s international business traveller. Each apartment offers a lavish and nurturing environment where all the guests’ needs are taken care of by excellent personal yet unobtrusive service.
In addition, the hotel will also host two chic bistros – Rumours and Butterfly – that are unique in concept and innovative in style. To keep guests entertained there will be live music as well as monthly art exhibitions by top artists in town. Guests also have the option of eating in the privacy of their apartments and can order delicious a la carte dishes over phone that are delivered by 24-hour ‘Revolving Chefs’, a unique facility that is being introduced for the first time in Dubai.
