Grand Millennium Business Bay rebrands

The First Group Hospitality has announced the strategic rebranding of Grand Millennium Business Bay, marking a new era of innovation and elevated guest experiences in Dubai. Located in Business Bay, the hotel features 260 rooms and 43 suites, designed with contemporary comfort, smart technology, and family-friendly touches. Guests can enjoy Sofia’s Kitchen, Sorsi Osteria, and the upcoming Risen Café, along with a spa, fitness centre, and meeting spaces. 

The property also offers complimentary transfers and access to Soluna Restaurants and Beach Club on Palm Jumeirah. 

HMH expands Corp Hotels in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s hospitality sector is rapidly transforming under Vision 2030, driving growth in tourism, business, and investment. In response, Hospitality Management Holding (HMH) is expanding its Corp Hotels brand, guided by its Business Leisure concept, which merges productivity with comfort. Corp Hotels integrate smart meeting facilities, high-speed connectivity, wellness centres, and family-friendly spaces to meet the needs of modern travellers. 

Key properties include Corp Hotel Al Khobar, catering to the Eastern Province’s corporate sector, and Corp Makkah Hotel, serving pilgrims and business visitors near Al-Masjid Al-Haram. This expansion aligns with the Kingdom’s goal of attracting 100 million visitors annually by 2030, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s rise as both a global tourism hub and a centre for corporate growth, where business and leisure coexist seamlessly.

Kerzner takes over The Meydan Hotel

Kerzner International Holdings has assumed management of The Meydan Hotel, Dubai’s iconic trackside property owned by Dubai Holding. Following room and public area enhancements, the hotel is set to reopen and accept guests from early 2026. Integrated into the grandstand of an international horse racetrack, The Meydan Hotel offers some of Dubai’s largest rooms and suites with balconies, overlooking the city’s premier racing events. 

The reimagined property will feature new dining experiences, including Farriers Mediterranean restaurant, Saddle Bar, and Tea Lounge, alongside leisure facilities like a golf course, tennis and padel courts, and event spaces for up to 50,000 guests. Positioned within the Meydan green district, the hotel joins Kerzner’s Rare Finds portfolio, further expanding the company’s Dubai footprint, which includes Atlantis The Royal, One&Only resorts, and Bab Al Shams. 

IHG opens Crowne Plaza Alexandria

IHG Hotels & Resorts have announced the opening of Crowne Plaza Alexandria Mirage Hotel, bringing modern comfort and upscale hospitality to Egypt’s historic coastal city. Located in Alexandria’s prestigious Smouha district, the hotel features 96 rooms and suites with private balconies, plush bedding, and dedicated workspaces. Amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness studio, steam and sauna rooms, and a wellness spa. 

Historic Málaga estate offered for sale 

The historic Lagar Hurtado estate in the Montes de Málaga, Spain, is for sale through Beauchamp Estates, offering a rare opportunity to develop a world-class eco and wellness resort valued between €30–70 million (Dh120–280 million). The project includes restoration and expansion of the 36-room Hotel Cortijo de la Reina, Villa Mirador, and additional villas, with potential for wine tourism, wellness, agri-hospitality, glamping, equestrian facilities, and events. Once frequented by Pablo Picasso, the site is 20 minutes from Málaga’s Old Town and 35 minutes from the airport.
