The Leading Hotels of the World has named Christina Deeny as its new regional manager for the UK, Ireland, Middle East and South Africa.
Deeny will be responsible for directing and coordinating Leading's activities throughout the UK, Ireland, Middle East and South Africa, said Welf J Ebeling, executive vice president and chief operating officer for the group. Deeny joins the Leading office from The Merrion Hotel, Dublin, where as sales and marketing director since 1996, she established The Merrion - which opened in 1997 - as one of the world's leading international hotels. During her tenure at The Merrion, Deeny was a member of The Leading Hotels' international marketing committee. Her previous experience includes positions at The Dorchester, London, and in the sales offices of The Leading Hotels and Orient Express Hotels.
