Le Méridien celebrates 30th

Le Méridien Abu Dhabi was first opened to the public in 1979, by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late president of the UAE. 
Since then the hotel, owned by Abu Dhabi National Hotels and managed by Starwood Hotels and Resorts, has been providing luxury with efficiency, and various top services and facilities.
The hotel has lush gardens and a private beach that makes it an ideal destination for business travellers and tourists, lying a few minutes’ walk from the city’s business district, shopping malls, historical areas and exhibition centres.
The 234 rooms and suites have various amenities including individually controlled air conditioning, color television, satellite television, mini bar, telephone, hair dryers, and razor point. The Royal Club Rooms have state of art business facilities.
The hotel’s conference and banqueting facilities allow for all kinds of events such as conferences, product launches, meetings, seminars, workshops, personal parties and weddings. In addition, the hotel can arrange an outdoor function for up to 1,000 people at the poolside, along with outdoor catering.
Recreation facilities are provided by Le Méridien Eden Spa & Health Club. The Eden Spa also offers many treatments and facilities that include an aquamedic pool, jacuzzi, Turkish hammam, and private rooms for spa treatments. 
Le Méridien Ayurveda Center at Eden Spa has Ayurveda solutions for many ailments including migraine, backache, diabetes and arthritis.
Eden Spa recently launched its new Lithos Therapy in the UAE - where heated and chilled sculptured marble rocks are used as therapeutic instruments to enhance and prolong the benefits of massage and beauty treatments.
Le Méridien Abu Dhabi is famous for its Méridien Village, one of the main attractions of the hotel which lies in its scenic gardens. There are 14 restaurants and bars available, representing cuisines from around the world.
