AUSTRALIA has some good offers and ideas for tourists visiting this summer.

At Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort, 75 minutes by high speed catamaran or a 15 minute flight from Brisbane, are beachfront Deep Blue apartments. Fully self contained with a private spa, outdoor entertainment area, and pool, guests can witness dolphin feeding from the apartment, or can see them close up at a custom made jetty.
Activities including hand feeding wild dolphins, whale watching cruises (from June to October), scenic helicopter flights around Moreton Island and private 4WD tours.

The Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney, has just completed a $288,000 Royal Suite refurbishment. Inspired by crown princess Mary of Denmark, the suite is located on the exclusive Horizon Club Floors, allowing guests impressive views of Sydney Harbour. The Stella Hospitality Group has expanded its range of premium properties on the Gold Coast with the launch of the 30 level Mantra Sierra Grand resort in the heart of Broadbeach.
Welcoming its first guests from late May, Mantra Sierra Grand offers a selection of one, two and three bedroom luxury apartments with panoramic views and a choice of facilities including a gymnasium, sauna and steam room, heated indoor lap pool and spa, heated outdoor pool and spa, barbeque facilities, all weather tennis court and an in house 20 seat theatre.
Wilderness Australia (info@wildernessaustralia.com.au) can arrange for guests to have lessons on how to surf on Sydney’s Bondi Beach. Lessons can be taken all year round, and work well with a combined private sight seeing day trip to Sydney.
Another typical Australian day trip would be to take in the Yarra Valley wine producing area one hour’s drive from Melbourne. This trip follows the scenic Yarra River, past an old gold mining town and on to an organic bake house, a unique coffee bean roasting facility and a chance to go behind the scenes at the winery.
There is also a chance to enjoy a bushwalk to spectacular waterfalls and learn about the upkeep and running of a working Australian farm.
