RADISSON SAS Hotels & Resorts, the first-class full-service brand of The Rezidor Hotel Group, will operate a 320-room resort in the UAE emirate of Fujairah.
The Radisson Al Aqah Beach Resort is scheduled to open in 2009. The property will have three restaurants, extensive meeting facilities, outdoor swimming pools, a private beach, as well as a spa and health club.
Jean-Marc Busato, area vice president of The Rezidor Hotel Group said: “Fujairah has witnessed a rapid rate of economic and social development over the last five years and is already well-known in the local market for its stunning nature and marine life. Proposed developments will hopefully also raise the emirate’s international tourism profile.”
Infrastructure Capital Group, the owner and developer of the Radisson Al Aqah Beach Resort, is also planning to construct up to 100 exclusive beach-front condominiums adjacent to the resort. In addition to their own exclusive beach and landscaped gardens, these luxury condominiums will be serviced by the resort and includes access to its first-class facilities.
KAZAKHSTAN
Meanwhile, the group has opened the first Radisson SAS Hotel in Astana, Kazakhstan. Located in the old city centre of Astana, it is part of the most exclusive lifestyle complex of the capital – called Arman (dream) and includes a business centre, a department store, an office tower, restaurants, recreation facilities, trade galleries, large commercial areas and a world-class fitness club and spa.
The hotel offers 181 rooms and suites soaked in local flavours, styled with traditional arts and crafts, and equipped with modern amenities like flat screen TVs, free high-speed internet access and Nespresso coffee machines.
The hotel also boasts the most luxurious Presidential Suite in Astana, with views of River Ishim and the city from the 18th floor. The suite stretches over 275 square meters and comprises two en-suite bathrooms, a family room, a lounge, a study and a fully equipped kitchen.
Capri, the signature restaurant of the hotel, is the perfect place for an al fresco dining even in cold winter. In addition, the hotel features a lobby bar, a cigar bar and a night club. Five meeting rooms range between 38 and 1200 square meters and are equipped with modern audiovisual technology.
