Qatar Travel Mart (QTM) 2025 is scheduled to take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) from November 24 to 26, 2025.

QTM 2024, the third edition of the event, occupied twice the show floor as in 2023. By its 4th edition, the event is poised for further growth and has become a key regional platform connecting global destinations and hospitality brands with Qatar’s rapidly expanding outbound market.

We speak to Rawad Sleem, Co-Founder and General Manager of NeXTfairs, organisers of the annual QTM for further insight into Qatar’s outbound.

After a landmark year, do you expect further growth at the upcoming QTM 2025?

QTM 2024 was a landmark edition, reflecting the strong confidence of the global travel and tourism community in Qatar. For QTM 2025, we anticipate further growth in both exhibitor participation and visitor turnout. The event has evolved into a key regional platform connecting global destinations, hospitality brands, and tourism boards with Qatar’s rapidly expanding outbound market.

This year, we expect a larger show floor, wider sector representation, and stronger participation from both established and emerging markets. Enhanced hosted buyer and media engagement programs will also maximise business opportunities for all participants.

Who are the key exhibitors this year?

All our exhibitors this year are highly valuable and play a key role in shaping the success of the event. Each participant brings unique expertise, offerings and innovation that contribute to the diverse experience we aim to deliver. Among them, we are proud to highlight Katara, our Founding Partner, whose continued support has been instrumental since the very beginning, and Qatar Tourism, our Strategic Partner, whose vision and leadership help drive the event’s international impact. Together with our wide range of exhibitors, these partnerships ensure that this year’s edition is stronger, richer, and more engaging than ever.

Are there any new exhibitors this year?

Yes, QTM 2025 is welcoming several exciting new exhibitors making their debut at the show. This year, we are proud to introduce participation from Egypt, Armenia, Georgia, Japan, Belarus, Greece and Korea. Their presence not only broadens the geographical diversity of the exhibition but also opens up fresh opportunities for Qatari travellers to explore a wider range of cultural, leisure, and business travel experiences. These new additions further strengthen QTM’s role as a truly global platform for the outbound travel market.

What trends do you notice among the exhibitors?

Key trends shaping QTM 2025 include:

•Luxury & bespoke experiences: Increasing demand for exclusive villas, private retreats, and curated itineraries.

Wellness & medical tourism: A strong focus on health, spa, and medical travel offerings.

Sustainability: Destinations showcasing eco-friendly initiatives and responsible tourism practices.

Digital transformation: Growing use of AI-driven booking tools, smart travel solutions, and immersive digital marketing.

These trends align with the shifting preferences of Qatari travellers, who are seeking more meaningful, sustainable, and personalised journeys.

What are the key themes of the show this year?

QTM 2025 is centred around “Diversity, Innovation and Sustainability in Global Travel.” The show features ten dedicated product sectors ranging from leisure and luxury to medical and sports tourism. Conference sessions spotlight digital transformation, sustainable tourism and niche travel growth. QTM positions Qatar as a central hub for global tourism stakeholders to connect with the wider GCC outbound market.

What are the new destinations that will interest Qatari travellers this winter?

This winter, Qatari travellers will have an exciting mix of new and emerging destinations, including Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan for their rich culture and heritage; Seychelles and Mauritius for pristine beaches and luxury escapes; Saudi Arabia for cultural, heritage, and Vision 2030-driven tourism experiences; and Slovenia and Croatia in Europe, offering unique alternatives with nature, adventure and luxury.
