DNATA Wings, the Philippines division of Dnata airport operations, has won a ground handling contract from Qatar Airways.
Under the agreement, Dnata Wings will provide ramp and passenger handling services for Qatar Airway’s five-a-week flights to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila.
Ismail Ali Albanna, executive vice-president for Dnata said, “We are proud to be appointed ground handler for Qatar Airways in Manila. Dnata constantly sets and achieves high industry benchmarks. Investing in staff training and the latest equipment enables Dnata to provide quick and efficient ground handling of transit and turnaround flights for both passenger and freighter aircraft, ensuring on-time departures without compromising safety.
Bernadette Salazar, Qatar Airways’ Manila airport services manager said, “Dnata Wings has been both proactive and sincere in ensuring our quality service standards are met. I am happy with the team's commitment.”
Albanna also noted that despite a strong competitive environment, Dnata's overseas ground handling operations in Pakistan (Gerry’s Dnata), Iran (Safiran Dnata), Qatar and the Philippines have all been successful. Dnata continues to seek opportunities elsewhere to expand outside Dubai.
