InterContinental Hotels Group and Oman Air have joined forces again today to present UAE travellers with fresh opportunities to enjoy value-for-money breaks in Muscat, one of the region’s most hospitable getaway destinations.
The Middle East’s largest hotel operator and the Sultanate’s dedicated carrier re-launched their highly successful Magic of Muscat packages during a press conference held at the InterContinental Dubai recently. The packages allow UAE-based leisure travellers to take lavish breaks with Oman Air from Abu Dhabi, Al Ain or Dubai to one of four hotel properties operated by InterContinental Hotels Group in the Omani capital of Muscat.
Having shown great success over the past two years, Magic of Muscat is now entering its third year. Over the past two years over 10,000 bookings have been made by travellers from Gulf countries, with 8,000 of these coming from the UAE alone.
Available until 15 November 2004, the packages appeal equally to those seeking an introduction to the Sultanate, as well as returning guests
The package includes return airfare, two nights’ accommodation (twin sharing), breakfast, service charges and taxes but excludes airport tax and visa. Travellers can choose between the Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat (Dh925 per person), the InterContinental Muscat (Dh795pp), Crowne Plaza Muscat (Dh745pp) and the Holiday Inn Muscat (Dh650pp).
Each of the hotels taking part in The Magic of Muscat offer guests a relaxed setting between the azure waters of the Gulf of Oman and the rugged Hajar Mountains, while retaining their own special features and offering famously warm Omani hospitality.
The Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Hotel Muscat, most recently voted the best Middle Eastern Hotel by Condé Nast Traveler in its 2003 Reader’s Choice Awards, fuses Islamic architecture with contemporary state-of-the-art technology. A kilometer of private beach endears the hotel to those in search of privacy and pampering.
Close to Muscat’s main commercial districts and just 15 minutes from the airport, the InterContinental Muscat is a delightfully friendly hotel. The pool, beach, and a lazy river, set among beachfront gardens, and shaded by palm trees, offer guests a relaxing tropical experience. Two of three new restaurants serve international cuisine and Mexican dishes, while Trader Vic’s lays on genuine Polynesian treats.
