Prior to that he held the same post at Hilton Luxor for a period of five years. Hegazi joined Hilton International in 1972 and held various positions. In 1975 he became the finance director for a number of Hilton International hotels in the Gulf Region some of which are in the UAE and Bahrain. Cherif Hosny has been appointed general manager for the Movenpick Media City Hotel. Cherif Hosny joins the Movenpick team with more than 20 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry while working for Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts operations in different destinations such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait in addition to different African and European countries. Before joining the Movenpick Media City, Cherif Hosny held the position of General Manager for Le Meridien Hotel in London. The InterContinental Dubai has appointed a new General Manager, Tom Meyer. Tom Meyer transferred from InterContinental Hong Kong, where he held the position of Hotel Manager, overseeing the overall management of the hotel. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Tom Meyer brings to InterContinental Dubai his extensive experience in operational and food and beverage management in the leading hospitality industry in Asia-Pacific. This includes almost twenty years in senior management positions with InterContinental Hotels and Resorts.His main goal as General Manager of InterContinental Dubai is to continue driving business forward, growing the hotels market share through innovative marketing strategies whilst strengthening relationships with existing guests and partners by further enhancing their overall stay experience in the hotel. Dietmar Kielnhofer has been appointed as general manager of the five-star Le Meridien Amman Hotel and Convention Center. Le Meriden Amman is located on Queen Nour Street close to the commercial and business district of Amman.The hotel was completely refurbished in 2002 and consists of 303 rooms and 121 suites, nine restaurants and bars and a state-of-the-art convention centre.“It is my ambition to make Le Meridien Amman the preferred choice of hotel when staying in Amman.
