SWISS, Switzerland's new international airline, has appointed Quitaiba Zahde as the new sales manager to the airline's sales division in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

"As a new airline in the region, SWISS has made remarkable progress since the launch of operations in April this year. My focus will be to further accelerate this growth, attracting a larger audience to experience the quality that SWISS is all about," said Zahde.

"In particular, more and more Arab passengers are choosing to fly with SWISS. Keeping them in mind, we are looking at providing better and specifically tailored products and services."

Zahde, a Syrian national, brings over eight years of managerial experience in the regional airline industry.

SWISS flies to over 93 destinations in Europe as well as the North Atlantic and has witnessed a rise in business travel, reflected in seat load factors presently averaging 80 per cent on flights from the UAE.

It operates 10 weekly flights from the UAE, comprising daily flights from Dubai and three weekly flights from Abu Dhabi.
