Qatar Airways has increased the frequency of its flights to 12 of its top destinations to meet the summer passenger rush.
Qatar Airways chief executive officer, Akbar Al Baker said the recent addition of two state-of-the-art Airbus A330-200 aircraft has helped the airline increase frequency as well as to begin plying to new destinations. The airline now operates 11 flights a week to London's Heathrow Airport, up from nine earlier. To cater to the growing number of European tourists visiting the Maldives, the airline has raised the number of flights to Male to seven, from three earlier. Flights to the Middle East and Arab country destinations have also been increased, with five flights weekly to Jeddah and two to Riyadh, up from a previous five to Saudi Arabia totally. Other destinations to which flight frequency has been increased are Amman, Damascus 4, Khartoum, Bangkok, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Kathmandu, Karachi and Jakarta.
