Dubois at Rezidor SAS Hospitality
Jacques Dubois has been appointed as senior VP of marketing, distribution and customer relationship management for Rezidor SAS Hospitality.
He will lead the team that manages marketing for all four of the Rezidor SAS brands.
Perrot at the helm at InterCon Citystars
Thierry Paul Just Perrot has been appointed GM of the InterContinental Citystars Cairo. With a lifetime of experience with the group, he brings hands-on know-how in senior management positions.
Uchil is new GM at Best Western Elite
Sujay Uchil has been appointed GM of Best Western Elite Hotel Manama, Bahrain. This is in addition to his existing responsibility as GM, Hawar Resort Hotel. Prior to this, he was F&B manager for the Best Western Baisan Tower.
Lagos takes charge at InterCon Abu Soma
John Lagos has been appointed GM of the InterContinental Hotel Abu Soma in Egypt. He started his career in 1970 at the Menzies Hotel in Sydney before going on to build up experience in managerial positions in top hotels.
New at Holiday Inn, Kuwait
Antoine Naoum has been appointed GM of the new Holiday Inn, Kuwait. He has spent the last 15 years in senior management positions in various hotel chains. Prior to joining the InterCon, he was GM of Safir El Joan Resort and Watania Resort. Suzie has also joined the hotel as assistant director of sales. She brings with her around 18 years of experience in Kuwait hotels.
Senior appointments at Al Raha
Claude Kaiser has been appointed GM of Al Raha Beach Hotel, Abu Dhabi. He has worked at Sheraton, InterContinental, Renaissance and Forte hotels in Europe, before taking up his first GM position at the Cataract Pyramids Resort in Cairo. Also joining the hotel is Christian Dangel as the new sales and marketing director. He joins the resort from the Dolder Grand Hotel in Zurich.
Najjar joins new Tulip Inn hotel
Makram Najjar has joined the Tulip Inn Knowledge Village hotel. Dubai, as operation manager. Makram, who has worked as regional sales manager for Flamingo Hotel Management Company, was earlier with the InterContinental group.
Hassanein joins Mövenpick Cairo-Heliopolis
Hassan Hassanein has been appointed as the director of sales and marketing (DoSM) of the Mövenpick Hotel Cairo-Heliopolis. He brings with him over 15 years of experience having worked in various international hotel chains. He was previously director of sales at the JW Marriott Cairo.
New faces at Sheraton Deira
Areephan Sawanee, Danny Rashidi and Ehab El Gammal have joined the Sheraton Deira Hotel & Towers management team. Sawanee, who brings with her a wealth of experience, is the new director of rooms while Rashidi, who has almost 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry, will spearhead the F&B department as the director of F&B. El Gammal, who has worked in various Sheraton properties across the region, has been appointed as DoSM.
New team at Dusit Dubai
Dusit Dubai has appointed a new sales and marketing team. Members of the team include Clive Holt, DoSM, Karim Douay, director of sales, Julie Bonollo, PR manager and Ashwith Fernandes, marketing executive.
Gozzer is PR manager at Mövenpick
Alain Gozzer, previously PR assistant of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, takes over as PR manager. He has acquired PR experience with the Swiss football club Grasshoppers Zurich, where he had worked for three years.

Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, Fujairah has appointed Clare Hayes as its new recreation manager. Prior to joining the hotel, Hayes worked at Royal Waters Health Spa.

Claire Bradshaw is the new manager of Heroes Sports Bar and Diner at Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi. She comes with 15 years’ experience in various sectors of the leisure and hospitality industry.

Sheraton Doha Hotel & Resort has appointed Graham Northcott as its new executive chef. Northcott, who held the same position at Sheraton El Gezirah Hotel in Egypt for five years, brings along 20 years’ overseas experience.

Chef Matthias Diether has joined The Ritz-Carlton Dubai to head up the team at La Baie, the hotel’s signature restaurant. Diether has spent his professional life in the Michelin-starred kitchens of Europe, working closely with award-winning masters of the craft.
