Local traders are lining up to run street kiosks on main streets during the forthcoming Dubai Shopping Festival, organisers said.
"We have given approvals to 141 kiosk applications and several more are under consideration," said DSF administration manager Yousif Mubarak. "The kiosks will offer a comprehensive product range right from cosmetics, herbs, light snacks, personal accessories to gifts." A special committee is scrutinising applications with importance paid to having a variety of products on each street. Since 1996, the kiosks have been a regular feature of the Dubai Shopping Festival and draw thousands of value-seeking shoppers.
