Emirates offering festival packages

Flyer power ... Emirates Airline is a key sponsor of Dubai Shopping Festival.

Emirates Airlines is offering special holiday packages across its network for visitors to the Dubai Shopping Festival.

The packages offer stays at 17 selected properties in the emirate from $33 per person a night on a sharing basis.

Tourists must stay for at least three nights and have the option to extend this. The offer available to all airline classes and is good from January 15 to February 15, 2003.

The packages have been put together by the airline's holiday unit Emirates Holidays.

"Emirates is making a determined drive to bring in passengers from all parts of our network," said Emirates' GCC general manager Hamad Obeidalla. "This now includes 63 destinations in 45 countries across the globe. I am confident that these packages will enable more people than ever to take advantage of Dubai's 32 day-long shopping and entertainment carnival."

The package price includes breakfast and all accommodation-related taxes and service charges, transfers between Dubai International Airport and the hotel, meet and assist and an Arabian Adventures welcome pack.

The packages also include an extra 10-kg free baggage allowance on the return flight from Dubai.

A visitor taking the package gets a free Visiting CompanionPoints smart card to garner points at 650 outlets throughout Dubai. These points can be redeemed at any of the partner outlets.

Emirates Airline is a key sponsor of Dubai Shopping Festival. In all, the event is being supported by 19 corporate houses.
