Inter-Con Six Continents Hotels has made two senior appointments to the luxury 166-room Al Ahsa Inter-Continental Hotel in Saudi Arabia, which is due to open in March this year.
Kevork Deldelian, 37, has been appointed general manager of the Al Ahsa Inter-Continental Hotel. A native of Jordan, Deldelian has a long history in the hotel industry generally and for Six Continents Hotels in the UAE. He has also lectured hotel management and tourism at Bethlehem University. Raed Handal, 27, has been appointed director of sales and marketing at Al Ahsa. Also a native of Jordan, he has worked in the travel sector, hospitality industry training and held senior luxury hotel positions. The two appointments reflect a new dynamism in the management structure of Six Continents Hotels to meet its expansion needs in Saudi Arabia.
