The Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers, Dubai announced details for the hosting of the German Chancellor, Gerhard Schroeder, who along with his delegation occupied 90 rooms together with the Presidential and Royal Suites. The German delegation coincided with the first Women’s Business Forum, which was hosted under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima. The event took place over two days in the Al Thuraya Grand Ballroom and the VIP guests took a total of 700 room nights.The trend for hosting large delegations started in April 2003, when the Joint Annual Meeting for the Arab Institutions, which lasted three days took place in the Al Thuraya Grand Ballroom and had a total of 800 room nights. The success of the event was due to the state-of-the-art facilities in both the bedrooms and banqueting coupled with the knowledge and experience of the dedicated 770 staff employed by the Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers. In September, the GCC Theatre Festival was hosted with a total of 1,350 room nights and eight days of occupying banqueting facilities. The former was run alongside the Bronte Art Exhibition which lasted a total of four days and where approximately 250 paintings were on display in the lobby of the hotel, the focal and main meeting point for guests. In addition, car and product launches such as Jaguar, Cartier and many more brands took place in the Al Thuraya Grand Ballroom.Finally, one of the major events the Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers has initiated and hosted was the Annual Abu Dhabi International Jazz Festival which took place in October 2003 over two days. This is the first of what the hotel believes will become an annual date not to be missed by lovers of Jazz, not just in the UAE, but also throughout the region.
