Accor celebrates 20 years in style

The French hotel group, Accor, one of the world's largest travel, tourism and corporate services conglomerates, celebrates its 20th anniversary at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in May this year. A senior delegation from all over the world will be present at the show.

Coinciding with ATM, Accor will stage the Middle East launch of 'Privileged Guest' loyalty cards for its luxury brand, Sofitel Hotels & Resorts, comprising 160 hotels in 53 countries.

The Sofitel cards recognize loyal guests and are strictly registered by name. Holders qualify for a VIP welcome at all Sofitel hotels and a double room for the price of a single From left, Horeca founders, Nouhad Dammous, Joumana Dammous-Salame, Paul Ariss, President of the Syndicate of Lebanese Restaurants, Cafes, Pastry Shops and Night Club Owners, enabling partners to stay free.

Late check-outs enable 'Sofitel Privileged Guest' members to keep rooms until 1600 hrs and 'Compliments Points' are awarded for every stay proportionate to total expend expenditure.

Further privileges include express check-out, free access to the hotel's health clubs, ironing service, free international newspapers and special rates from Europcar.

After accumulating 14 stays, members become eligible for Gold Card level, which guarantess room availability and entitles them to upgrades as well as early check-in.

"Special facilities are also available at selected hotels for Arabic speaking guests', explained Mohammed Taher, director of sales and marketing Middle East. "This includes Arabic TV channels, Arabic newspapers, meals menus in Arabic etc.
