The Mays El Reem at JW Marriott

JW Marriott Hotel in Dubai has opened a new Lebanese restaurant with a rustic atmosphere to create an authentic Lebanese dining experience, it was revealed.

Mays El Reem, named after a famous Lebanese musical, is the 12th restaurant in the hotel which is undergoing a Dh200 million ($54.45 million) expansion.

"We felt that the new restaurant should deliver a genuine Lebanese dining experience," general manager Ibrahim Barghout explained.

"We wanted to create a restaurant that mirrored the abundance of Lebanese dining."

The spacious restaurant can seat 180 guests and includes an intimate diwan area for 25 diners. From the stone floors to the tented ceiling and diwan area, the restaurant creates the perfect ambience for dining.

The atmosphere created by the water springs through Mays El Reem compliments the traditional home-made cuisine made from recipes that have been handed down through generations.

Diners can watch their meal being prepared in the open kitchen and can enjoy the aroma of freshly baked bread from the open bakery. While dining, guests can listen to a four-piece band, singers and watch the resident belly dancer.
