LE MERIDIEN Limassol Spa and Resort is an five star property situated on the beach, known for its award winning spa, range of dining options, children’s facilities and warm welcoming hospitality.
The self contained resort lies 15 kilometres from the centre of Limassol and 55 kilometres from both Larnaca and Paphos International Airports, to which the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from Limassol twice per day.
Of particular note is the hotel’s thalassotherapy spas centre, “Le Spa”, which covers 3,000 sq m, which features four outdoor and three indoor sea water pools, each with a different salinity content and temperature along with a hammam and two saunas as well as a heated indoor seawater pool with a negative flow section.
There are 34 treatment rooms offering a wide range of treatments as well as a relaxation area. Specialist consultants are available to advise guests on what treatments they should take and special health menus are also available.
The entire spa is surrounded by another free form fresh water pool featuring waterfalls and grottos and the largest seawater pool on the island plus an inland lagoon with its Japanese Restaurant.
Accommodation is in 329 rooms, garden suites and suites. The temperature controlled bedrooms in the main building, which are the largest on the island, have modern amenites including satellite TV, coffee/tea making facilities, mini bar, in-room safe deposit box, direct dial telephone with voice mail facility, high speed wired Internet access as well as play station facilities.
Connecting families
The luxurious furnishings include a writing desk and ample storage space. There are separate sections for the bath, toilet and washbasin and they are equipped with hairdryer, telephone, radio and full-length mirrors. Spacious balconies accord stunning views of the sea, pool, gardens or local countryside and surrounding hills. Many rooms have interconnecting doors and in addition, 37 specially designed family rooms, larger than the standard rooms, are ideal for families with children. The hotel also offers luxury rooms for handicapped persons.
The luxurious adults only royal spa pool and sea view rooms (41 sq m have a first class bathroom directly connected to the bedroom through an in-room-window. Situated in the Royal spa wing, there are views of Le Spa and the sea.
The six adults only jacuzzi cabanas pool and sea view (47 sq m) are opulently furnished, with an oversized whirlpool bathtub next to the bed by the window overlooking the grottoes freshwater pool outside Le Spa’ which can be accessed through the balcony.
Of the 30 suites, the two presidential suites (162 sq m) are furnished in an opulent fashion with exclusive service to attract discerning guests. They each have their own over sized jacuzzi in the bathroom and individual heated swimming pool with whirlpool on the terrace overlooking the sea. The four Imperial suites (93 sq m) and the four leisure suites (68 sq m), have their own Jacuzzi tubs in the bathroom. The three garden suites (one 1 bedroom and two studios) all look towards the sea.
Surrounding the main building, there are 40 citrus garden suites, each furnished and appointed to accord a feeling of privacy and independence. They all have their own private terraces and gardens and are individually air conditioned and heated. In addition there are further 13 palm court garden suites.
The hotel offers eight dining options to cater for every palate: from fine fusion cuisine at the Balthazar restaurant, through to tasty Cypriot meat specialities from the rustic, open-air Le Vieux Village Taverna (operating only in summer). Other options include dinner at Enalia Seafood Restaurant by the sea (operating only in summer) and all day dining at Le Fleuri Poolside Restaurant and Terrace.
La Trattoria is an exclusive open-air authentic Italian restaurant serving Italian dishes in a traditional atmosphere (operating only in summer). There is also an open air Japanese/Sushi Restaurant Kojima in the centre of the inland lagoon (operating only in summer). Le Nautile, open during winter, offers Mediterranean cuisine in elegant yet relaxed surroundings. Mickey’s is the hotel’s dedicated children’s restaurant.
