Mandarin Oriental

to open in Mallorca

Mandarin Oriental will open Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra Mallorca on June 1, 2026, in Calvià, near Puerto Portals, marking its first resort in the Balearic Islands. The 131-room property, including suites and private villas, offers panoramic Mediterranean views, access to two secluded coves and a design that blends contemporary elegance with local craftsmanship.

The resort will feature multiple dining venues led by renowned chefs, including concepts by Nobu Matsuhisa and Dani García, alongside Mediterranean and international cuisine. Wellness is central to the offering, with a spa featuring signature treatments, indoor and outdoor pools, and fitness facilities.

Set across five buildings inspired by Mallorca’s landscape and heritage, the resort combines luxury, nature and curated experiences.

Precise Resort

Tenerife debuts

Precise Resort Tenerife has opened in Puerto de la Cruz following a two-year €10 million renovation, marking a significant addition to Precise Hotels & Resorts.

Originally built in the late 1970s as the Maritim Hotel Tenerife, the 153-room oceanfront property has been fully reimagined while retaining its iconic cliffside silhouette overlooking the Atlantic.

Set within 40,000 square metres of redesigned botanical gardens inspired by Alexander von Humboldt, the resort blends heritage, nature and contemporary design. Facilities include multiple dining venues, two heated pools, a spa built into the cliff, sports and dive centres, and wellness offerings.

Located on Tenerife’s northern coast, close to Teide National Park and Loro Parque, the resort caters to both leisure and extended-stay guests.

Mongibello Ibiza

elevates to 5-Star

Mongibello Ibiza has been upgraded from a four-star to a five-star property, marking a significant milestone for Concept Hotel Group.

Located in Cala Es Caló de S’Alga on Ibiza’s eastern coast, the 167-room hotel blends Italian Riviera-inspired design with Ibizan lifestyle elements, now enhanced to meet five-star standards.

The transformation focuses on elevating the guest experience while preserving the hotel’s distinctive identity.

New offerings include premium welcome amenities, 24-hour room service, terrace suite waiter service, and curated culinary experiences highlighting local produce. Guests can also enjoy private boat excursions along Ibiza’s coastline and airport transfers for select suites.
