Dubai's Emirates Towers Hotel is bringing added cheer to the season this year by installing a "festive train", set amid an impressive Alpine scene.
The train which is on display in the centre courtyard of the Emirates Towers Shopping Boulevard, will continue to cheer visitors until December 27. Built by train lover Gerry McElligot from the US, the train makes its way through the miniature alpine setting 10-metre long and four metre wide, passing through little villages and stations all depicted with excellent attention to detail. "This will be a true attraction for both the young and the young at heart," said a hotel spokesman. Sponsorship of the festive train's locomotives, bridges, stations and hot air balloons will raise funds for the Dubai Centre for Special Needs. This donation will mark the start of a long-term strategic partnership between Emirates Towers and the centre which is a non-profit organisation.
