The Qatar National Hotels Company (QNH) announces the signing of a letter of intent (LoI) for a new Merweb hotel in Doha located in the prestigious area of West Bay, only 15 minutes from Doha airport.
The Merweb Hotel City Centre comprises 236 rooms and suites with a total area of 22,776 sq m, furnished in an exciting modern design, in addition to 97 fully furnished one, two, and three bedroom apartments. All accommodation offers the very latest amenities.
First-class service and excellent cuisine come together at the Merweb Hotel City Centre's food and beverage outlets. The main dining restaurant will accommodate 150 persons, the Moroccan Lounge and Restaurant for up to 102 persons rounded off by a themed bar lounge and lobby deli café. An area is set aside for banquets and meetings as well as serviced offices with state-of-the-art equipment. Other facilities include an outdoor and indoor pool, children’s indoor and outdoor play areas, health club and fitness centre.
In addition, the hotel offers an office floor, a first for a Doha hotel. This floor consists of 20 offices that will be rented on daily, weekly and monthly basis. The floor is supported by its own reception and a fully equipped business centre.
The Merweb Hotel in Doha's Old Ghanem Area, a prime business area with new residential and commercial development plans, is to be completed by mid-2008. Al Faisal Holding will be managing the hotel. The signing of this second management agreement represents a significant step in its expansion plans across Qatar. The property will host a spacious main restaurant, cocktail lounge and bar, two smaller sized dining rooms; guests will also be able to relax in the hotels leisure centre with its swimming pool, gym, Jacuzzi sauna, steam and massage room. A banquet hall with two function rooms will be available for banquets and conferences.
Another Merweb Hotel in Doha will be added to the portfolio of the company which will be third Merweb property announced so far. This hotel is currently under construction on Ras Abu Abboud Street.
