FLOWERS by Contempo is a Dubai-based company that provides flowers and designs for hotels, gala events and project launches as well as many other events.
In their second year at the show, the company displayed original and innovative designs, ranging from giant horse shoes containing over four thousand flowers to smaller arrangements consisting of concepts as unusual as construction cranes. Among their successes are the Fairmont ATM party, where they took care of all the design and decoration necessary from concept to completion.
Other hotels they work with include the Al Murooj Rotana Hotel and JW Marriott to name just a few. “The current trend in the hotel business is to outsource what is not your core business. In hotels, flowers are not a core business but are necessary to enhance the ambience,” says Flowers by Contempo general manager Stephen Eisenhart. “Executive housekeepers normally take care of flowers but they can become so busy that they don’t have the time to always think about ever detail. We can provide then with a rage of samples to complement hotel and décor, taking away the headache.” Flowers by Contempo also take retail spaces in the shopping arcades at premium hotels.
The company sources its blooms from all over the world including Ecuador, Holland and New Zealand.
