Golden Tulip strengthens presence in Oman

Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts announced the addition of two new resorts to the Middle East & North Africa portfolio, strengthening its presence in the Sultanate of Oman. Golden Tulip Dibba and The Golden Tulip Masirah are two brand new properties, having 54 rooms each.

The Golden Tulip Dibba and Golden Tulip Masirah will offer facilities from health club, Jacuzzi, diving centre, swimming pool and restaurants as well as a spa at the Golden Tulip Masirah resort.
Amine E. Moukarzel, Golden Tulip’s vice-president and managing director, Middle East & North Africa, commented: “These two new resorts complimented by our Golden Tulip Resort Khasab will add a variety of destinations, expanding the portfolio with our Omanisation drive to the workforce in the Sultanate of Oman, promoting the Sultanate – the country of all seasons internationally and offering international services with local flavours.”
In addition, The Golden Tulip Resort & Spa, Mirbat will open in the south of the Sultanate in Salalah. The property is under construction is expected to be in operation in two years with 250 rooms and chalets, restaurants, health club, swimming pool, spa, water sports, diving centre, etc.
“Our presence in the Sultanate is now complimented by having the magnificent Golden Tulip Resort & Spa Mirbat, Salalah, which is the destination for retreat for holidaymakers, meetings & incentives and tourists,” added Moukarzel.
But that’s not all. Golden Tulip also announced the signing of its franchise agreement for the 120-room Golden Tulip Nizwa, Golden Tulip’s third hotel in Oman. The hotel is owned by Interior Hotels.
The Golden Tulip Nizwa offers 120 rooms including three suites, a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, gymnasium and a ballroom, accommodating up to 400 persons and equipped with modern facilities. Nasser Bin Khamis Al Hashar, chairman of Interior Hotels, said: “The hotel is located close to the brown Hajar mountain ranges and Nizwa, once Oman’s capital. We are confident that Golden Tulip will add considerable value to our property though its existing network of hotels in Oman and the Middle East.”
