Representatives from five COMO Hotels and Resorts from Asia, London, and Italy, along with Vice President – Commercial, Doris Goh, and Global Director of Sales Middle East, Felipe Gomez, recently visited Riyadh, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai to meet with key partners and media.

Goh presented some of COMO's unique offerings, including the newly launched COMO Stories, which emphasise the importance of storytelling in the luxury hospitality space. Among the upcoming events is an exclusive COMO journey into the Arctic for 12 people. COMO also stands out as the first hospitality group to engage with the space community, with plans to explore zero-gravity flights next year.

Rory Slater, Managing Director for COMO’s two London properties — COMO Metropolitan London and COMO The Halkin — highlighted the appeal of these locations. COMO The Halkin, the first property in the collection, features just 41 bedrooms, making it a favourite among GCC guests for its discretion and unique character. A new restaurant is set to open at the property next year. The COMO Metropolitan, with its 144 rooms, also offers 19 residences. These spacious residences, located adjacent to the hotel, feature two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge, and a kitchen, making them ideal for long stays.

Edvaldo Brito, General Manager of COMO Castello del Nero, shared details about the property in Italy. Set on seven acres of land, the estate produces its own olive oil and red grape beverages. The villa at the property, with five bedrooms, can accommodate up to 10 guests. Unique experiences include truffle hunting and a VIP highlight this year — a concert featuring the legendary Andrea Bocelli.

Julian Seeber, General Manager of COMO Alpina Dolomites, spoke about the customised winter experiences offered at the property. These include World Cup ski races and ice climbing, providing guests with opportunities to try something new and challenge themselves. For an unforgettable itinerary, guests can combine both Italian properties—skiing in the morning at COMO Alpina Dolomites and returning in the afternoon for truffle hunting at COMO Castello del Nero—via helicopter transport.

Andy Cunz, Managing Director for Thailand and Bhutan, focused on COMO Uma Paro in Bhutan, as the Thailand properties are already well known. With a new direct flight from Dubai to Bhutan, travellers can now enjoy an easier journey to this unique destination. Bhutan offers transformative experiences, reflecting its focus on Gross National Happiness (GNH) rather than GDP. COMO Uma Paro provides cultural and outdoor activities, including expeditions into the eastern forests of Bhutan, where 750 sq km are reserved for the mythical Yeti. Bhutan, with its rich culture and status as one of the only carbon-negative countries in the world, is a must-visit, though it is best suited for those who enjoy outdoor activities and hiking.

Suteja Gede, Cluster General Manager for COMO Shambhala Estate and COMO Uma Ubud in Bali, highlighted the COMO Shambhala wellness brand. Shambhala, meaning peace and harmony, focuses on ancient healing practices and holistic wellness programmes, complemented by natural water sources. Next year, the wellness facilities will be further enhanced to adapt to changing lifestyles, ensuring that COMO remains at the forefront of addressing diverse wellness needs.  -TradeArabia News Service
