The organiser of the annual International Travel Expo Hong Kong (ITE HK) has announced the postponement of the exhibition this year from June 12-15 to September 25-28 at the same venue, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Due to the outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and uphold of the travel advice from World Health Organization, the organiser is concerned about the health of the exhibitors, buyers and visitors. A survey has been conducted since April 23 to address the problem and collect opinion from exhibitors and buyers. Over 90 per cent of the questionnaires were received and a majority preferred for a September date.

According to Stanley Chu, executive chairman of Adsale Exhibition Services said, "The recent We Love Hong Kong has been an encouraging campaign."
