Marriott International's Individual Incentive Award programme can help employers reward their employees and keep them motivated. Whether it is a round of golf at a premier course, a night out on the town or a week in the tropics, there is something for everyone at the almost 2,500 Marriott International hotels worldwide," a spokesperson says.

Individual Incentive Awards are easy to give and easy to redeem, according to David Riddell, vice-president of certificate marketing for Marriott International.

Travel incentives offer businesses an exceptional tool to provide a high level of recognition for their employees' achievements. Cash, considered a taboo subject in many societies, does not enjoy the same recognition value and, consequently, return on investment. As a result, an increasing number of companies are using travel awards to inspire workers.

Marriott's incentive travel program is broken into three categories, which are Stay Awards, Non-Stay Awards and Package Awards:

Stay Awards offer the perfect option for a weekend getaway, ranging from a long lazy weekend in the mountains or a romantic night in the city.

All Weekend Stay Awards include accommodations, applicable room taxes, breakfast for two and last room availability. They are valid for 15 months from date of issuance.

Package Awards include Resort Awards and Club House Golf Awards:

  • Resort Awards are available at more than 80 Marriott and Renaissance resorts around the world. Certificates can be tailored from three, four, or five night packages that also include; dinner for two on a night of the guest's choice and Marriott Cheques to be used during their stay.

  • Club House Golf Awards are available at 21 locations. Golf awards include complimentary use of the driving range, a round of golf for two each day, golf cart for two each day, club storage and special golf amenities.

Two, three, and four night award certificates are available.
