Bahrain-based Sunshine Tours is one of the longest established operators in the kingdom offering outbound and inbound holidays.
Part of the World Travel Service (WTS), Sunshine Tours says its experts help turn "an abstract idea of a holiday into reality" with every detail taken care of. These experts can create specially tailored holiday packages to almost any country from Bolivia to Botswana and Mexico to Maldives, it says. Tours manager T P Surendran said Far East and Australian holidays were in flavour this summer among travellers from Bahrain. There was also high demand for short/weekend holiday breaks and the company is offering packages ranging three nights stay to four to seven nights tours within the region. The growing appeal of spa and health tourism in the region is reflected in a new package being offered by Sunshine Tours this summer to Austria. The company says the packages which include spa and health, medical and beauty and slimming, are being offered to the Herzog Tassilo Kurhotel resort in Bad Hall, Austria. The packages start at around 2,500 euro ($2,425) for Tassilo Medical Check-up for men and women. For visitors to Bahrain this summer, Sunshine Tours has lined up special deals to coincide with the government supported Bahrain Summer promotion from July 1 to August 31. Sunshine Tours was formed following the acquisition of the company from Thomas Cook in 1993 by WTS.
