UAE-based Metropolitan Hotels group is adding new facilities at two of its premier properties in Dubai under a major renovation programme.
The programme will add new facilities for customers during the summer at the Metropolitan Hotel Dubai on Shaikh Zayed Road and the Metropolitan Resort & Beach Club in Jumeirah, said Rahim Abu Omar, the CEO of Metropolitan Hotels International. The facelift involves renovation of the 103 rooms and suites at Metropolitan Resort & Beach Club, which includes all furniture, fabrics, bathroom fixtures, wall paper, curtains, carpets and upgrade of technology systems. The lobby lounges, public areas and the restaurants will also receive a complete new look and there will be improved facilities for the resort's leisure guests. The existing 179 rooms at the Metropolitan Hotel Dubai will also be totally renovated offering increased facilities to guests. Whether for business or pleasure, the centrally located Metropolitan Hotel Dubai provides luxurious accommodation with extensive facilities including conferences and banqueting services, health club and 13 food and beverage outlets to choose from. The group says it strives to meet the growing demand in the Gulf region with sales offices in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Kuwait and Jeddah. Due to the immense business potential and volume in Saudi Arabia, the group opened two sales offices in Riyadh and Jeddah last year to meet the demands of families, business and leisure travellers from the kingdom. The group said two of its properties, the Metropolitan Palace Hotel in Dubai and the Metropolitan Palace Hotel in Beirut, had been named as members of SRS World Hotels besides the Metropolitan Hotel Dubai in a major highlight of the year so far. Metropolitan operates four properties in Dubai - the Metropolitan Palace Hotel, the Metropolitan Dubai Hotel, the Metropolitan Resort & Beach Club and the Metropolitan Deira Hotel - besides the Monkey Island Hotel in United Kingdom and the Beirut property. Additional hotels and resorts are under development, mainly in the Gulf region, the group said.
