Four Dubai hotels are chasing this year's Outstanding Hotel of the Year honour at the Depa Middle East Hotel Awards to be announced this month in Cairo.
Emirates Towers, Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott and Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa are the four contenders for the title which will announced at an "Oscars" style gala ceremony at the Semiramis Inter-Continental Hotel in Cairo on April 18. Bahrain's Le Royal Meridien has been shortlisted in no less than five categories - Hotel Design, Leisure Hotel, Business Hotel, Hotel Advertising Campaign, and Conference Hotel. The awards, sponsored by international hotel interior contractors Depa Hotel Interiors, attracted over 110 individual entries from five-star hotels across the region. The hotels are batting for honours in 16 categories, including best new hotel, best design project, most progressive employer, top business, leisure and conference hotels, with a special floating Hotel Of The Year.
