The Al Ain Inter-Continental has completed work on 22 new chalets which is expected to attract more tourists to the hotel.

The chalets are targeted at local and regional family visitors seeking a secluded stay for their vacation.

The $4 million project was undertaken to capture a highly profitable segment of the tourism market and is expected to yield high returns, says the hotel.

"Considering the predicted earnings we foresee in the future, the investment into this type of project is worthwhile," said Abdulla Al Romaithi, the director general of National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels (NCTH) which owns the hotel.

The Inter-Continental said the chalets were designed to meet the customers' requirements for privacy and seclusion.

"The chalets are of extreme importance to us. In addition to their profitability prospects, they will aid us in solidifying our position as a resort and a getaway, where families can spend a relaxing vacation," said general manager Antoine Berberi.

Each of the 22 chalets is a suite equipped with 5 star amenities and has full access to the hotel recreational facilities.
