DUBAI Golf is hosting a series of Open events for male and female amateur golfers over the summer months, encompassing the Majlis, Faldo and Dubai Creek courses.

Ping, Titleist, Ecco, Adidas and Etihad Airways will support the six event series that will be a stableford format off ¾ handicap allowance. Competitors can enter between one and five events, however to qualify for the grand finale on Saturday September 5 at the Majlis course, they will need to compete in at least three events. The 96 competitors with the lowest stableford point tally for their three best rounds will compete in the series finale.

The first event took place at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club situated in the heart of the city on the shores of the Creek in June, and the second event is to be held at the Faldo course on Saturday July 4, with Dubai Creek hosting again on the July 25.

The Majlis course enters the swing on Saturday August 8 with the Faldo entertaining the final fixture in the qualifying process on Saturday August 29.

“We, at Dubai Golf, want to ensure that those residents staying in Dubai over the summer still have an active calendar of golfing events that they can participate in. With an event like this, there is absolutely no reason for a golfer’s clubs to be forced into the cupboard over the next few months,” stated Rod Bogg, managing director of Dubai Golf, and he added that many great prizes are on offer.
