PANGKOR Laut Luxury Resort, Residence & Spa Village is a five star luxury multi module resort property being developed on The World, modelled on the famous Pangkor Laut Resort in Malaysia.
The Pangkor Laut Resort in Malaysia is managed by YTL Hotels & Properties, who will bring their expertise to the resort property being developed in Dubai.

City-D Development, known by its luxury projects in CIS countries has teamed up with some of the world’s renowned companies to develop the Pangkor Laut Luxury Resort, Residence & Spa Village, on Nakheel’s The World, located four kilometres off Dubai’s coastline.
The Pangkor Laut Luxury Resort, Residence & Spa Village, to be built over 1,600,000 sq ft island plot, will feature a five star hotel and luxury residence, spa facility, marina and numerous leisure facilities, including eight restaurants and bars. The resort will offer 120 deluxe guest rooms, 20 fully equipped luxury beachfront villas, a shopping gallery, restaurants, aquapark and an underwater nightclub.
The residential component, Pangkor Laut Luxury Residence & Spa Village, offers 92 apartments, 20 attached beach villas with private pools, 28 independent luxury villas with private marinas, all fully furnished and equipped with world known and branded products. A community club, spa village, gourmet food boutique and high level housekeeping service are also available to residents.
Designed by architect and engineering firm, Agostine and Raphael Group, the resort development will bring together some of the best names in resort conception, fit-out and design, including Bang & Olufsen, Bagnaresi and ABB. All the transportation needs will be served by Majesty Yachts, for all islands on The World, offered for sale on a freehold basis to selected investors, are only accessible by marine or air transport.
The average price of an island ranges from $15 million to $50 million, with the most expensive island costing $263 million. Around 50 per cent of the 300 islands that make up The World have been sold so far, according to the developers Nakheel, part of the state owned conglomerate Dubai World. Some of The World islands represent countries, while others represent cities.
