New role for Grage
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Africa recently appointed Christian Grage as vice president operations and human resources.

Prior to joining Mövenpick, Grage held the position of general manager at Corinthia Towers Hotel, Prague, Czech Republic. He has also worked with Corinthia Hotels in Czech Republic.
Promotion for Arnaout
Bilal Arnaout was recently promoted to the position of front office manager at the InterContinental Al Khobar. He joined the pre-opening team as assistant front office manager. He has previously worked with various five star chain hotels including the Safir Heliopolitan and Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi.
Four Seasons welcomes Stenekes
Michael Stenekes, was recently appointed as executive sous chef at Four Seasons Hotel Amman. Stenekes moves to Amman from Discovery at Marigot Bay in St Lucia. Prior to this post, he was chef de Partie at England's triple Michelin starred restaurant, The Fat Duck.
New GM at Ramada Muscat 
Ramada Muscat Hotel has appointed Kifah Melhem as general manager. Previously he was general manager at Makkah Grand Coral Hotel & Towers, Saudi Arabia. Kifah started his career with Hyatt Regency Monterey California and has worked with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Saudi Arabia and Addis Ababa Ethiopia.
Krishnan at Sheraton Deira 
Sheraton Deira Hotel announced the appointment of Mohan Krishnan as the new director of finance. Krishnan was previously regional finance controller with Millennium Hotels, Abu Dhabi.  He has worked with major international chains like The Oberoi Group, Holiday Inn, Hilton and Copthorne group.
Rezidor appoints Willensdorfer 
The Rezidor Hotel Group welcomes Stefan Willens-dorfer as director of sales for the corporate market. Willensdorfer was previ-ously with the Radisson SAS Palais Hotel in Vienna as sales manager, before being promoted to senior sales manager. Prior to Radisson he worked for Sofitel and the Astron hotel at Vienna airport.
New appointment at BIHR 
The Bahrain Institute for Hospitality and Retail appointed Bernard Oberhol-zer as quality assurance director and academic advisor. He brings 40 years experience in the hospitality industry and has worked in the EAME and Asia. Before joining BIHR he worked as hospitality consultant, specialised in Training and F&B.
New appointments at Ezdan Hotel
Ezdan Hotel & Suites has appointed Mohamed Salah (left) as its new general manager. He moves from La Perla Hotel Hurghada in Egypt. Mohamed Ali has been appointed as executive assistant manager after working in hotels including Riyadh Marriott Hotel and Heliopolis Sheraton Hotel Tower & Casino.
Rezidor bolsters UAE team
The Rezidor Hotel Group appoints Nouha El-Menshawy as director of sales and marketing at the Radisson SAS Residence, Dubai Marina, opening later this year. El-Menshawy has been with Rezidor for the last three years where she held the roles of sales manager and director of sales.
Baumhoff joins IHG
InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Jürgen Baumhoff as general manager at InterContinental Semiramis Cairo. Having worked within IHG for over 25 years, he has been general manager in cities including Germany, Hong Kong, Australia and London, and recently CEO of a major hotel/owner development company in Qatar.
Mathis joins El Sokhna hotel
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Africa has appointed Johnny Mathis as general manager of Mövenpick Resort El Sokhna. Mathis was previously with the Mövenpick Hotel Al Bidaa in Kuwait as general manager. He has had more that 40 years experience with chains including Le Meridien and Shangri-La.
New roles at Holiday Inn Riyadh-Al Qasr
Ramzi Assily (left) is the new general manager at the Al Qasr Holiday Inn in Riyadh. He has spent 22 years in the industry. Patrick Mouchbahani has been promoted to director of operations, having started his career in the hotel industry in 1957 in Nice, France.
Rosewood appoints new chef 
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has appointed Richard Green as executive chef for the Rosewood Corniche. Chef Green, who has more than 20 years experience as an executive chef, will oversee all the Rosewood Corniche restaurants, including Ginza I Chome, Noodles, Habsburg, and the private dining suites.
New role for Brunton 
The soon to be open Holiday Inn, Al Barsha has appointed Rupa Brunton as PR executive. Brunton moves to Dubai from UK where she has worked in events management, marketing and public relations. She will be responsible for maximising positive media to the Holiday Inn brand.
Chatter takes charge
The Leading Hotels of the World recently announced the appointment of Hatem Chatter as director of sales for the Middle East. Chatter began his career with the Jumeirah Group, as business development executive. He moved to Rosewood Hotels and Resorts as regional director of sales in 2006.
Brown tees off as director
The Els Club at Dubai Sports City has appointed Chris Brown as director of golf. Brown will be responsible for all golf elements of the prestigious facility. He brings with him extensive golf management experience, which he gained at the Colin Montgomerie Links Golf Academy in Turnberry, Scotland.
Idris appointment at Monarch Dubai 
Yahia Idris was appointed deputy general manager at The Monarch Dubai. Previously he was director of business development at the Shangri-La Hotel Dubai. Before joining the Regent Wall Street Hotel in New York, he was at the Burj Al Arab and the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain welcomes Barba
Francesca Barba has been appointed director of marketing at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa. Barba was with Kempinski Hotels in Tanzania previously. She started her career at the Ramada Hotel in Giardini Naxos, Italy and has also worked for Hilton and Rocco Forte hotels.
New faces at Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah 
Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, Oman has appointed Debrah Pascoe (left) and Beat Enderli, to the roles of director of marketing and executive chef respectively. Pascoe worked for the group in Kuala Lumpur. Chef Enderli moves from Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort in Malaysia.
New appointments at Etihad 
Etihad Airways has appointed two new regional general managers for the Asia Pacific region. Cramer Ball (left), the airline’s current country manager for Australia, will become RGM Asia Pacific South and Australasia while Joost den Hartog will become RGM Indian sub-continent, Central and North Asia.
