Virgin Atlantic will be participating in the GIBTM in Abu Dhabi from April 8 to 10 for the first time.
Andrew Fyfe, regional manager Middle East and Indian Ocean said, ‘Our flights have become very popular since the commencement of our daily non stop service from Dubai to London Heathrow in March 2006, and since then traffic increased at a rate that was above our initial projections. Participating for the first time in GIBTM will give us the opportunity to showcase our award winning upper class suite to our customers in Abu Dhabi.’
“Business class is a highly competitive market within this region and our Upper Class product has been extremely well received. Our passengers when flying Virgin Atlantic’s upper class can expect the biggest flat bed in its class, to take off and land with the seat in the reclined position, chauffeur driven transfers to and from the airport, in addition to our in flight beauty therapy, freedom menu and enjoy the benefits of our London Heathrow drive thru check in and award winning Heathrow clubhouse.”
The airline announced it had also spent $12 million revamping its premium economy product, offering a bigger more comfortable leather seat, dedicated cabin with devoted crew, new meal service served on chinaware with priority check-in and boarding.
Andrew Fyfe said that this product was aimed at the cost conscious business traveller and higher end leisure passenger for it offers a value for money experience which has seen high load factors since it was introduced on the Dubai to London route.
