Significant Jordan presence expected at BITE ’07

MAGNUM Events and Exhibitions Management (MEEM) is gathering all forces in promise of yet another successful travel expo for the year 2007. Several countries have already confirmed their participation, including Jordan, which will take a major pavilion.

The Bahrain International Travel Expo, (BITE) 2007 is expected to be held in the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre from May 8 to 10.
Held under the auspices of His Highness Shaikh Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defence Force, BITE marks as the catalyst of Bahrain’s booming travel and tourism industry, says a spokesperson.
“BITE represents the golden opportunity for exhibitors and companies worldwide to showcase the latest travel trends, and all genres of tourist attractions,” he said.
Of the particpating countries at the event, Jordan has committed to a large-scale representation. The assurance was give by Jordan’s last Minister of Tourism and Culture Munir Nassar, who met the chairman of Unitag Group and Magnum Holdings, Jamil Wafa at the minister’s office in Amman.
“The Jordanian minister has agreed to personally take part in the exhibition along with a high level tourism delegation from Amman,” Wafa said.
“Jordan’s tourism department will also put up its own pavilion at BITE 2007. My visit to Jordan was to extend an invitation to that country to the prestigious annual travel and tourism expo in Bahrain,” he said.
Exhibitors participating in BITE range from airlines, car rental companies, cruise lines, health resorts & spas, hotel accommodations, medical tourism, MICE organizers, tour operators, tourist attractions to tourist boards.
“BITE serves as an ideal venue for all those partaking in the event to generate and discover new leads, expand and consolidate business connections, and further address issues of personal as well as corporate needs,” said the spokesperson.
