Royal Caribbean is gearing up for the highly anticipated August 2025 debut of Star of the Seas, its newest addition to the revolutionary Icon Class. The vessel, designed as a comprehensive family vacation experience, will sail from Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida, offering itineraries that include visits to the popular Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas.

The launch of Star of the Seas continues the momentum of the record-setting Icon Class, which aims to combine elements of beach retreats, resort escapes, and theme park adventures. The ship is structured around eight distinct neighbourhoods, each designed as a destination in itself.

Onboard, guests can anticipate a wide array of amenities. For thrill-seekers, the Category 6 waterpark promises adrenaline-pumping experiences. Those seeking relaxation will find seven pools offering various ways to unwind. Entertainment is a significant focus, with productions including the musical adaptation of Back to the Future: The Musical. The ship will also boast more than 40 dining and drinking venues, such as the Lincoln Park Supper Club, providing extensive culinary choices.

Royal Caribbean recently announced musical icon Diana Ross as the official godmother of Star of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean International – Middle East’s Managing Director, Mohamed Saeed, says, “As the world’s best family vacation from Orlando, Star of the Seas will offer 7-night vacations to sought-after destinations in the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

“Royal Caribbean is also expanding its land-based offerings, with the upcoming Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in December 2025, followed by Royal Beach Club Cozumel in 2026 and Perfect Day Mexico in fall 2027,” says Saeed.
