THE World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has issued a call for entries for the 2007 Tourism for Tomorrow Awards.
The deadline is December 11, 2006.
The awards promote and reward best practice in travel and tourism worldwide. They allow for applications applications from tourism destinations, businesses and organisation in four categories. These are Destination Award, for destinations of any size committed to responsible tourism development; Conservation Award, for a tourism organisation that shows a commitment to protecting natural and cultural heritage; Investor in People Award, for an organisation committed to human resource development and local community involvement; and Global Tourism Business Award for a business of at least 200 employees operating in more than one destination and demonstrating responsible tourism practices.
