JAZEERA Airways has doubled its fleet size and network within ten months of operations.

Kuwait’s new national airline and the first private airline in the Middle East started operations with five destinations and two brand new airbus A320s with all-leather seats on October 30 last year, and has since added seven new destinations, took delivery of two additional brand new Airbus A320s, and flew more than 320,000 travellers to date.
The airline is the fastest growing airline in the Middle East and flying to some of the most popular destinations for both business and leisure in the Middle East, North Africa, and the Indian subcontinent, including Dubai, Beirut, Bahrain, Damascus, Aleppo, Amman, Alexandria, Luxor, Mumbai, New Delhi, and the recently added cities of Mashhad, and Assiut.
Jazeera Airways VP for Industry Affairs Bader Al Mershed said “we started operations 10 months ago with a single objective, to empower our travellers. Today all our travellers, and some for the first time ever, are able to benefit from 24-hour online booking, online payment, and online seat reservations, in addition to all year-round low fares starting at KD10 to all our destinations, with the exception of Bahrain which starts at KD5”.
Jazeera Airways is a Kuwait public shareholding company established in 2004 with a capital of KD10 million raised through one of the most successful IPOs in its history. Based on a low-fare business model that maximises across-the-board efficiency in operations, Jazeera Airways enables travellers to fly ticketless and book through the web and SMS, giving travellers more independence, spontaneity, and fares up to 50 per cent less than the market.
The airline has an on-time performance of 95 per cent.

KOCHI
At the time of going to press, Jazeera had announced thrice-weekly operations to its newest destination, Kochi, commencing August 30.
Jazeera Airways VP for Industry Affairs Bader Al Mershed said, “Kochi, Queen of the Arabian Sea, is an important addition to our tourist destinations. The city is rated in the top three tourist destinations by the World Travel & Tourism Council and featured in National Geographic Traveller’s 50 greatest places of a lifetime.”
He added, “The Cochin route is part of Jazeera Airways’ aggressive expansion after receiving two brand new aircraft from Airbus in June and July bringing the airline’s total number of aircraft to four new Airbus A320s with all leather seating.”
