DELEGATES at World Travel Market’s first landmark Travolution conference at London’s ExCeL in November will be treated to some of the biggest names in travel and the new media world as the internet gears up for another major leap forward, in a bid to both educate and inspire delegates eager to discover where the travel industry fits in with the next exciting phase of the internet.

Delegates will also be able to learn more social media tools such as blogs, wikis and podcasts, as well as best practice in e-commerce, advertising and web design, led by some of the most innovative companies in the online travel arena.
Travolution@WTM – Covering Travel in the Digital World is an ambitious joint initiative, organised by WTM and Travolution, the UK-based media brand, which includes a bi-monthly magazine, website and blog, encapsulating senior level debate, reports and industry analysis.
Says Fiona Jeffery, managing director of WTM: “The travel industry needs to meet the challenges of a consumer-driven move into a digital age. Travolution@WTM will urge travel companies to embrace new media to address today’s market needs and learn from other leading brands about next generation online tools, that are so vital in today’s Internet business environment.”
The conference will offer innovative, interactive delivery, including live blogging electronic voting, and cover all aspects of online travel, such as new opportunities to build online travel brands, online distribution, CRM, e-marketing and web design.
A series of seminars on Tuesday, November 7, will focus on learning about travel in the digital world. The one-day conference, with keynote speakers and panel discussions on Wednesday, November 8, will centre on debating the cutting edge ideas that will help make travel businesses successful in the digital age.
Brent Hoberman, chairman of Lastminute.com and a member of Travolution’s advisory board, says:  “Travolution fills an important gap in the UK market as a useful industry resource for online and offline industry professionals who want to keep abreast of the continuing shift of travel from offline to online.”
The event will be £599 ($1113) for two days, £399 for one day and a specially discounted rate of £299 for two days for World Travel Market exhibitors.
