THE Radisson SAS Martinez Beirut has unveiled its stunning new $100,000 foyer.
The impressive, more expansive lobby now offers direct access to the hotel’s Bistro restaurant, and benefits from its proximity to the atmosphere of the bustling Phoenicia Street thoroughfare to which it is adjacent. The hotel’s lobby area has been revamped to create an ambience akin to Europe’s top five-star hotels.
“We wanted to create the ambience of a five-star European style boutique hotel with this redesign,” said Radisson SAS Martinez general manager Peter Schuler. “Beirut is well known for its appreciation of design, and we are sure that guests will find that the new lobby area, with its elegant features, now reflects this.”
The project, which has taken just three months to complete, saw the removal of original features such as a set of columns and a fixed marble and wood buffet display. Aluminium and glass features combined with the addition of new furniture, a cigar display, an Italian marble floor, tasteful greenery and new lighting and projectors have added to the recreated character of the hotel.
