Aman’s first ultra-luxury motor yacht, Amangati

Amangati set to redefine ocean travel in 2027

Aman expands its legacy in luxury hospitality with Aman at Sea, unveiling its first ultra-luxury motor yacht, Amangati, launching in summer 2027. 

Designed with Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design and built at T. Mariotti S.p.A, Genoa, the 183-metre vessel will accommodate 94 guests across 47 expansive suites, each with private terraces, some featuring plunge pools, and interiors inspired by Japanese ryokan design. 

Onboard highlights include globally inspired dining concepts, a tranquil Aman Spa with Japanese garden, and a private Marina for direct ocean access. 

Spike in heritage travel noted in Preferred report

The Preferred Hotels & Resorts Luxury Travel Report 2025 reveals that over 90 per cent of luxury travellers now seek immersive, experience-driven stays rooted in history and culture. 

Heritage-rich accommodations are in high demand, including stays in culturally significant landmarks, access to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and opportunities to connect with personal ancestry. 

Highlights include The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, a 1928 landmark offering complimentary heritage tours; Dromoland Castle, Ireland, where guests explore ancestry and countryside traditions; Hotel Convent de la Missio, Spain, blending modern design with a 17th-century convent; and The Leela Palace Jaipur, immersing visitors in Rajasthani art, crafts, and royal heritage.

FiturNext targets water sustainability

FiturNext, the FITUR Observatory promoting sustainable tourism, has analysed over 250 initiatives worldwide for its 2026 Challenge, focused on sustainable and responsible water management. 

The challenge highlighted three key themes: reducing water consumption, reusing water through circular practices, and protecting natural environments. Projects involve destinations, HORECA and transport sectors, and other tourism stakeholders, showcasing innovative strategies for optimising water use and promoting visitor and community participation.

Strong Australia-NZ presence at WTM 2025 

World Travel Market London (WTM London) 2025, taking place from November 4–6 at ExCeL London, will welcome a major Australia and New Zealand delegation, led by the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) with 30+ partners. 

The expanded stand N9-510 will feature airlines, hotels, eco-stays, tour operators, and DMCs, showcasing the region’s diverse tourism offerings.

Key brands include Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Hotel Grand Chancellor, YHA Australia, and luxury options like Oceanview Eco Villas and Bill Peach Journeys’ Aircruising. Adventure and wildlife highlights include BridgeClimb Sydney, Taronga Zoo, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, and Kangaroo Island Touring Company. 

TOURISE forms cross-sector advisory board

TOURISE, the bold new global tourism platform, has announced its 14-member cross-sector advisory board ahead of the inaugural TOURISE Summit in Riyadh from November 11 -13, 2025. 

Chaired by Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Tourism, the board unites leaders from tourism, technology, aviation, sustainability, entertainment, education and media to guide TOURISE’s strategic direction and shape the summit agenda. 

Prominent members include WTTC, Global Sustainable Tourism Council, Amadeus, TikTok, Six Senses, Cirque du Soleil, Liberty International, Wagonlit Travel, the Saudi Tourism Authority, and the Riyadh School of Tourism and Hospitality. 

The advisory board will focus on equity, geographical representation, sectoral diversity, innovation, and sustainability, driving cross-sector global collaboration. TOURISE aims to elevate tourism on the global stage, positioning the summit as a catalyst for shaping the future of the industry.
