Dubai’s next luxury icons in the pipeline

From gleaming skyscrapers that redefine the skyline to chic retreats set on the water, Dubai’s next wave of luxury hotels promises to take indulgence to new heights.

The emirate, already a global byword for opulence, is preparing to welcome a string of ultra-luxury openings — from iconic international brands making their Middle East debut to homegrown concepts with a distinctive flair. Alongside timeless glamour, expect to see wellness-led sanctuaries, immersive lifestyle experiences, branded residences, and bold architectural statements that blur the line between city hotels and resort escapes.

With Dubai’s tourism sector on track for yet another record-breaking growth spurt, these new arrivals are set to define the next chapter in global luxury hospitality — and keep the city firmly at the forefront of travel trends.

Mandarin Oriental Downtown
Mandarin Oriental has announced it will open its second Dubai property inside the new Wasl Tower this October. Rising to over 300 metres when complete, the tower will house a hotel with 259 rooms and suites, as well as a spa and 10 restaurants and bars.

Aman Dubai

Situated at the end of the Dubai Water Canal on Jumeirah Beach, Aman Dubai offers 100 hotel suites and 82 Aman-branded residences. This ultra-luxury resort, set to open in 2028, features a private beach with stunning views of the water and Dubai’s skyline. The property blends Aman’s minimalist aesthetic with Arabian cultural elements. Surrounded by nine acres of lush gardens, Aman Dubai promises tranquillity and unparalleled service.

Janu Dubai
Janu Dubai is a luxury hotel and residential development by Aman Group, located in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The project will feature 150 hotel keys and is designed by Herzog & de Meuron. Janu, meaning “soul” in Sanskrit, is conceived to foster joy and connection, offering experiences that inspire and uplift.

Rosewood Dubai
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts will make its Dubai debut in 2029 with Rosewood Dubai and Rosewood Residences Dubai. Located on the shores of Peninsula Dubai, a prestigious new waterfront destination, the project will feature a 195-room ultra-luxury hotel, private garden villas, world-class dining, wellness facilities, and curated cultural programming.

Akala Hotel and Residences

Rising next to Burj Khalifa in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Akala Hotel and Residences by Arada will introduce a new benchmark in urban living in 2029. The branded project, dubbed the world’s first precision wellness destination, will comprise two 220-metre-tall towers with 534 branded residences.

Baccarat Hotel and Residences
Baccarat Hotel & Residences Dubai will feature two crystalline-inspired towers rising from a central plaza. The exquisite Baccarat Hotel and exceptional residences will stand alongside an exclusively residential tower. The hotel will be a luxurious 145-key property.

Ciel in Dubai Marina
Reaching a remarkable height of 365 metres, Ciel in Dubai Marina will set a new benchmark as the world’s tallest hotel upon completion. Ciel will feature a striking design, contemporary interiors, and a remarkable glass observation deck. It is part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ prestigious Vignette Collection.

Jumeirah Asora Bay
Jumeirah has announced plans for a new luxury hotel, Jumeirah Asora Bay, to open in 2029 on the peninsula of La Mer South. The property will feature 103 rooms as well as 20 villas.

Corinthia Dubai
Set within a two-tower structure on Sheikh Zayed Road near the Museum of the Future, the development will rise to iconic heights, exceeding 500 metres. It will feature a distinctive contemporary architectural style, conjoined by a cantilevered sky lobby extending over 200 metres above the ground. Expected completion: 2030.

Bellagio Hotel Dubai
Famed for its Las Vegas heritage, the Bellagio brand will bring its signature elegance and high-end experience to Dubai in 2027. Set to be part of the Las Vegas-inspired development The Island Dubai, the Bellagio is expected to offer world-class entertainment and luxury amenities.

MGM Hotel Dubai
The centrepiece of The Island Dubai project, the MGM Hotel will be located next to the planned Bellagio Hotel Dubai and will offer its own unique take on modern hospitality. The iconic American brand will bring a new dimension to Dubai’s luxury hospitality scene.
