Windstar Cruises, nicknamed the World’s Best Small Ship Cruise Line, will make its first appearance in the Middle East region with varied itineraries that begin this November on the all-suite, 312-passenger Star Legend.
The inaugural 10-day sailing starts in Dubai on November 23, and continues on to Sir Bani Yas Island and Abu Dhabi, onwards to Manama, Doha, Ras Al Khaimah, Khasab and concludes in Muscat. (This trip coincides with Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi 2023 Race and there is an optional race package that can be purchased.)
Sail dates for Star Legend are listed into spring 2025, with 23 itineraries to choose from, including cruises that combine a land programme, fly cruising and cruise only options. Itineraries are listed for Dubai and Muscat in 2024 and 2025, with primarily cultural and historical experiences, including a James Beard Foundation culinary themed sailing.
Earlier this year, Windstar Cruises appointed Cruise Master as the General Sales Agent (GSA) to source business from the Middle East markets.
Windstar Cruises operates a six-ship fleet of small sailing and all-suite ships visiting approximately 330 ports. Windstar’s fleet is the market leader in small ship cruising with a total of 1,242 passenger berths calling on off-the-beaten path and popular ports in over 60 countries.
