Rejuvenated and enlightened at the Satori Spa.

Jumeirah International has announced the opening of its new Satori Spa at The Jumeirah Beach Club, the five-star 50-suite property occupying one of the most exclusive locations in Dubai.

Set in a private chalet, amid lush tropical gardens, walkways and streams, the Satori Spa, meaning ‘sudden enlightenment’ in Japanese, is a peaceful and soothing oasis offering relaxation, rejuvenation and the ultimate in pampering.  A central courtyard housing a Japanese water feature and a stylish Gazebo in the tranquil front garden, all add to the oriental theme.

On arrival guests are welcomed by a warm infusion of ginger and lemon, which can be taken whilst they choose their own music prior to the start of their treatment.

The six treatment rooms include three dedicated to Elemis products, which are decorated in individual colours of red, blue and green, each promoting different feelings of well being and relaxation.  In addition there are two specialist Jacuzzi rooms, a relaxation area, a wet area, sanarium and Balinese outdoor shower.  A treatment room set up especially for couples is also available.

Offering an holistic approach using a natural range of products, the treatments are carried out by highly skilled therapists and masseurs from Indonesia.  One can choose from the Elemis range, a world-renowned name in spa therapies, or the traditional Satori Signature treatments.  The Elemis range incorporates an Exotic Jasmine Flower Bath, Absolute Oxygen Skincalming Facial, Japanese Silk Eye Zone Therapy and Chakra Balancing Massage.  Whilst the Satori Signature treatments include speciality baths, massages, facials and cleansing and rejuvenating body wraps, all complemented by relaxing aromatic oils ranging from lemon, honey, lavender and herbs to rice flour, coconut, almond and olives.

The Spa, open daily from 9am to 9pm, is reserved exclusively for hotel guests and Beach Club members.  Manager, Made Sudiarti, from Bali, Indonesia, who heads the team of therapists, has a wealth of experience gleaned from managing spas of many five star international hotels.

The Satori Spa joins the Jumeirah Beach Clubs’ already established fully equipped world-class gymnasium, with state-of-the-art equipment for health conscious guests. Facilities include three squash courts, 2 temperature controlled swimming pools - one with underwater music, seven floodlight ATP-class tennis courts, two beach volleyball courts, a half basketball court, table tennis facilities, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi.  Also offered are a range of watersports, hair salon, aerobics and fitness classes and the services of a personal trainer.
